    Course overview

    IRAP New Starter Training is available for any interested person to complete.

    This five-day training is made up of two components: ISM and IRAP Fundamentals.

    To be eligible for the assessor exam, participants must meet IRAP policies and procedures. Please see the requirements via the IRAP website https://www.cyber.gov.au/acsc/view-all-content/programs/irap

    On successful completion of the training and the exam, participants may apply to become endorsed as an IRAP assessor on the ACSC website https://www.cyber.gov.au

    The IRAP New Starter Training course assumes attendees have experience in ICT and security assessments. This includes experience in the following Australian Government ICT policy:

    • Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM)
    • Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)

    The course explains how to use both of these policies in conducting IRAP Assessments.
