About the role

As the Events and Administration Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of key industry events such as forums, symposiums, conferences and more.

 

In 2023, Canberra Cyber Hub delivered 25 industry events, with many success stories of local businesses hiring and expanding their teams as a direct result of attending of events.

  • $80k – $90k + 11.5% Superannuation

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Canberra Cyber Hub (CCH) team in the successful delivery of events
  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue and catering arrangements, liaising with photographers and speakers, and managing name badges and event collateral
  • Administer event registrations, ensuring timely uploads and updates on the registration platform
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for CCH meetings, taskforces, and forums
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new partners, ensuring accurate data capture and ongoing maintenance on the website and database
  • Manage central email inboxes and respond to general inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Assist with financial tasks, including issuing invoices and following up on aged debtors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with networks and contacts within and related to the cyber ecosystem

 

Skills & capabilities

You will have two or more years of experience in an events coordinator role, or equivalent, with strong administration skills, partnered with a passion for developing the cyber sector within the ACT and surrounding regions.

  • Proven experience in event logistics and coordination
  • Strong administrative skills, including experience in invoice tracking, vendor communications, inbox management, and meticulous records management
  • Collaborative approach with excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service support abilities
  • Exceptional time management skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and agile work environment
