About Us
Electronic warfare is where cybersecurity was fifteen years ago — dominated by static signatures, manually programmed hardware, and closed proprietary systems that can't learn or adapt. Adversaries are already fielding software-defined EW. Allied forces are still catching up.
Panop builds cognitive electronic warfare systems that change this. We apply machine learning to the electromagnetic spectrum: autonomous signal classification, adaptive response generation, and continuous learning from real-world data. If you've worked in threat detection, anomaly classification, or adversarial ML, the problems will be familiar — the domain is radio frequency rather than network traffic.
Our Vision
To build the software layer that makes allied electronic warfare intelligent — systems that are software-defined, hardware-agnostic, and continuously improving with every encounter.
Our Products
PlatypOS is our cognitive EW operating system. It handles signal ingestion, modulation classification via neural networks, and adaptive response across any compatible SDR hardware. Built on Linux, progressing toward NixOS, ITAR-free, and open-architecture.
LYREBIRD is our COTS-based hardware family, purpose-built to run PlatypOS in expeditionary environments.
Who We Are
Panop is a Canberra-based defence technology startup. We're a small team solving hard problems at the intersection of machine learning, software-defined radio, and electronic warfare. If you're a software engineer or ML specialist looking for work that matters on infrastructure that's genuinely novel, we'd like to hear from you.
