About Us

Redacted Information Security Pty Ltd is a local Canberra based cyber and information security consultancy established in January 2022. With combined experience across Australia’s government, private sector, law enforcement, military, and intelligence agencies, we are uniquely positioned to provide expert advice to your organisation.

Redacted has provided assessment services, security planning and policy generation services, operational security and implementation advice for big and small projects ranging from Top Secret down to unclassified commercial systems.

We are adept at delivering on target and on time, with meaningful recommendations and comprehensive reports.

Redacted primarily works nationally, however has worked in the US previously with project partner organisations. We are a firm believer in the five eyes partnership, and the AUKUS pact.

Everyone at Redacted believes in doing the right thing, which means not just checking a box for security compliance. It means we create meaningful and workable solutions which provide value to all stakeholders and achieve real security, which will in turn achieve compliance.

Founders

Redacted was founded by Simon Smalley and Remy Coll.

Simon Smalley

Simon is a red team cyber security expert with experience in national intelligence, military, and law enforcement. He holds a Master of Cyber Security (Advanced Tradecraft) with Excellence from UNSW ADFA. He is an OSCP, eCPPT, a GIAC certified security leader, GIAC certified systems auditor, and IRAP assessor #1308.

A former NSW Police officer, Simon has worked in counter-terrorism & special tactics, investigations, and digital forensics. More recently, Simon has been working directly for the Australian Government within the National Intelligence Community. He has spoken at a number of cyber security conferences, on both technical subjects and case studies on technical investigations, and is an instructor at the ADF Cyber College..

Remy Coll

Remy is a blue team cyber security expert with a decade of experience in Federal Government, Private Sector, Law Enforcement, and the Military. He holds a Diploma in Networking, and a Diploma in Systems Administration. He is a GIAC certified security leader, ISO 27001 lead auditor, and IRAP assessor #194.

Remy has been awarded a commendation for his cyber training programs, commanded the first Army Cyber Protection Team, and MC’s the ADF Cyber Skills Challenge conference every year. He studied Acting at Victorian College of the Arts and has performed in theatres nationally. While highly technically capable, Remy is also personable and engaging.

NeonRiot

NeonRiot, by Redacted, is a red team software platform for cybersecurity red team activities, adversary simulation, training and exercising. With features for operational planning, team collaboration, skills development, command and control, exploitation, and more NeonRiot significantly lowers the barrier of entry to quality red team operations.

The platform is deployed SaaS as a professional team version and as an enterprise and Defence appliance.
